Blackjack Switch Rules
Blackjack Switch is a blackjack variation at which the players are dealt two hands and they are allowed to switch the cards (exchanging the two top cards of both hands). This option is available only at Blackjack Switch as at other blackjack games it is considered to be cheating. As the player has two separate hands he must place two bets of equal size. What is more, as a result of such rule the blackjack hand at this game pays even money (1 to 1) and the dealer’s 22 is a Push.
Let’s consider the specific Blackjack Switch rules in detail:
- Six decks are usually used at Blackjack Switch.
- The player places two equal bets.
- The cards are dealt face up.
- The player can switch both the first and second cards dealt to each hand.
- Dealer must Hit at all soft 17s.
- Double Down is allowed on any two cards.
- Double Down is allowed after splitting.
- The player is not able to resplit.
- Blackjack pays 1 to 1.
- The dealer’s 22 is a Push and the players get back their bets. In case the player has blackjack he beats the dealer.
At some casinos the special rule known as Full European no-peek rule is used at Blackjack Switch game. According to this rule the dealer cannot check his hand for blackjack until the player switches the cards and ends the hand. Thus the player has the chance to create blackjack.
