Double Exposure blackjack variation is very close to the regular blackjack game and its rules are almost the same as the rules of the most popular blackjack games. But...there is one but. The main difference of Double Exposure is the fact that all the dealer’s cards are face up. This obviously gives the player more advantage over the house and that is why some of the rules differ from the regular ones in order to reduce the player’s odds. Thus, usually six or eight decks are used at the game and the dealer wins all the ties (except the situations when the blackjack hands tie). As a result, the odds at Double Exposure are similar to odds at the regular blackjack games.

Double Exposure Rules

So, the basic rules of Double Exposure blackjack are:

Up to 8 standard decks are used at the game.
Both dealer’s cards are dealt face up.
The dealer must Hit on all soft 17s.
The dealer wins all the ties except for Blackjacks.
Blackjack pays 1 to 1 (rather than 3 to 2 as at the regular blackjack game).
The Double Down option is offered on 9, 10 and 11.
The player is allowed to Double Down after splitting.
The player is allowed to Split up to three times (creating four hands).
The Aces can be resplit.
The hand with 21 count created after splitting the Aces is not a blackjack.
