KO Card Counting System
The KO card-counting system is one more easy-to-use technique used by many players to lower the house edge at blackjack game. KO system also known as Knocking-Out card-counting strategy is unbalanced which means that you do not end up with 0 count when you consider all the cards in the deck. If you total up all the cards in the deck according to KO card values you will end up with +4 points.
The KO system is less accurate than the Hi/Lo but it can be successfully used at blackjack table by all the players as it really help to increase the players’ probabilities to get good hand and win. This system is very easy to learn and use.
Like in the Hi/Lo system the cards have positive, neutral and negative count in the KO card-counting system with one only difference: 7 is counted as +1 (instead of 0). Thus, the system uses the following card values:
Card | Count |
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 | +1 |
8, 9 | 0 |
10, J, Q, K, A | -1 |
The player who uses the KO card-counting system starts the game with the total count of 0 and add or subtract 1 when the cards are dealt. If your count equals +2 or more your advantage over the house is slightly higher and you can raise the stakes with the next deal. On the contrary, if you has +2 count it is better to reduce your bets in the next game. In addition, the KO card-counting system states that it is a good option to buy Insurance when the total count is +3.
The KO system when used correctly allows to get 1-2% advantage over the house. This means that if you bet, for example, $500 you can win up to $5-$10 in profit. It seems to be not very much but if you place big bets you can win really big.
